Claiming Equivalence, Unsurpassed, and Superiority Simultaneously

Taught by Dr. Daniel Ennis

Abstract:

It may seem odd that a claim of superiority and equivalence can be made at the same time with the same data. But this situation is technically justified based on the equivalence and superiority specifications currently accepted in practice. The background on the reasons for this justification in testing for claims support will be provided in this webinar. At the heart of resolving this paradox is whether there should be a certain minimum specification for consumer relevance so that miniscule superiority claims may or may not be claimed, irrespective of sample size. There are pros and cons to changing the current hypotheses used in equivalence, superiority and unsurpassed testing and these will be discussed in detail during the webinar.

This webinar is intended for a general audience of sensory professionals and graduate students. No detailed technical knowledge is assumed.

A digital recording of this webinar is available for purchase ($289).
