Abstract:

 

This webinar, the first in a series of two, introduces R, a powerful and open source tool for data analysis. We will explore why someone would want to learn it and when it is most useful. You will learn how it can benefit you in your daily work, including for data cleaning and transformation, statistical analyses, creating beautiful visualizations, and automating report generation. You will also be introduced to RStudio which facilitates running analyses and managing files. All scripts used during the webinar will be shared with participants.
