2010 Institute for Perception Award

Currently accepting applications

The Institute for Perception is pleased to announce the 2010 Institute for Perception Student Award.  The award is given annually to a senior undergraduate or graduate student demonstrating an interest in pursuing a career in Marketing, Sensory Science, Psychology, Economics or other related fields.

The $1,000.00 award and a plaque will be presented at The Institute for Perception's Spring Course in Williamsburg, Virginia.  Also included is a complimentary invitation to attend The Institute for Perception’s course ‘Sensory Product and Concept Testing: Analyses, Applications and Computer Workshop’ in March of 2011.  Presentation of the award will occur during an evening banquet (to be announced). Travel and accommodation expenses will be covered for the selected applicant.

To apply, please send the following to the address given below:

  • A copy of your most recent transcript
  • A professional or academic letter of recommendation
  • Proof of your scholarly interest in Sensory Science, as demonstrated by a paper you have published or an essay on a contemporary issue in the field

The cut-off date for applications is January 22, 2011.   The winner’s name will be announced on our website and in The Institute for Perception’s Spring Newsletter.  The winner will also be contacted to arrange for travel and attendance at our Spring Course for the award presentation.
